Summer’s So Close I Can Hardly Taste It- The Perfect Tassel Dress

Hey y’all! It’s been a while since I sat down and truly spilled my thoughts and the happenings of life lately… so you guessed it, today I am going to be doing just that and sharing the absolute cutest tassel dress for summer with you.

I feel like I say it all the time, but seriously where has the time gone?! Am I dreaming or are we actually entering the twenty-first week of the year already? My sophomore year of high school is winding down quickly, I’ll be officially done June 16^th and then will be free of (hardly any) commitments until August rolls around. I have been super busy with school, taking my first AP exam, taking state-required standardized testing, and of course pushing to keep those grades where they have been the whole year. I am trying to cherish this year because I know next year’s course will bring vigorous classes and a much heavier workload. However, I won’t worry about that right now.

Also, as almost everyone knows, I launched my new website a little over a month ago. It has truly been a challenge in a way I did not expect but it has made me hungry for success. I am thrilled for the summer so I can dive into this blog and all of my social media platforms and am ready to just completely pour my heart into what I truly love. I have big dreams and hopes for this blog, I pray I can achieve at least a fraction of them throughout the months to come.

I hope to truly find myself once again this summer. To be proud of myself in every aspect and to recognize the beauty of life in all the ways there are. I have no doubt that traveling this summer will help with all of this; it always does. However, most of all I truly want to stop wishing and to start doing. To understand that the world is at my own fingertips and that it is within my power to choose what to do with it. To stop waiting for Monday, or the first, or whatever because if you want something bad enough you will get off your butt and work at it right now, and then the next day, and the day after, and so forth until you are no longer working for it, you are it. These are the things I want to do.

Anyways now let’s chat about this gorgeous dress I picked up from TJ Maxx. They have been killing the game lately, with the cutest on-trend pieces.

This dress is off the shoulder and a beautiful shade of blue with a sinch at the sleeves about 2/3 of the way down. It is a shift dress, making it perfect for most occasions, and comfortable for everyday activities. The coral tasselled trim that lines the bottom is the most playful touch and makes the piece so different from everything else I own.

I feel so young, wild, and free in this dress. It is youthful in the best way possible. I totally recommend heading to your local TJ Maxx in hopes to find one and of course to the local grocery store for a lollipop half the size of your face so you can feel extra happy.

Summer is so soon, I can almost taste it.
