5 Summer Dress Trends to Wear Right Now + 5 Outfit Ideas

Despite practically every blogger sharing their new fall goodies, current cardigan faves, and summer outfit recaps I am just not ready for all of that!

I’m here to keep things real with you and if I’m being honest where I live it’s in the mid-80s every single day and will be for the next few weeks with lots of sunshine and sweaty days. I’d be lying if I said I wore a cardigan and booties out and about each day and I’d certainly be lying if I said I was ready to pack away my summer wardrobe. I’m going to be squeezing in as many sandals + dress days as possible before breaking out the layers.

Not because I don’t think fall is the best season of them all (trust me I do!) but because it’s impractical and summer is most definitely not over! Which is why today on the blog I’m sharing with you my five favorite dresses for this summer and of course some outfit ideas.

Dresses are my favorite thing to wear in the summer because they are fast, simple, and don’t require a lot of effort. You’ll be thinking the same thing after checking out these looks.

The Bold Blue Hue- A pop of color for the summer is always a must. I’m keeping things simple in this gorgeous blue tee-shirt dress and some white mules. I added a simple little daisy choker for some flower power and a fun vibe.

The Tropical Dream- A tropical floral print is definitely a must have for me in the summer time. This bold yellow hue compliments tanned skin so nicely and the light pink detailing around the fuchsia flowers was easily brought out by adding some blush block heels and a cute bag.

The White Never-Fail- A white swing dress will never disappoint you and its endless potential will leave it in constant use. Today, I played it up by doing a little summer to fall transition by adding my denim jacket and some denim slides. Simple gold jewels are all you need for this classic look.

The Trend Setter- Fun sleeves, off the shoulders, and tassels?! So many fun trends this summer all packed into one piece…talk about the perfect dress. I wanted to keep all the attention on the dress so I opted for some simple gold accents.

The LBD + Pop of Color- Everyone, and I mean everyone has a little black dress somewhere in their closet. It’s one of my staple pieces no matter what season it is. I paired some fun black sandals with it and added a few pops of pink to tie the look together.
