Get Ready With Me- The Holidays (Hair, Makeup, and Outfit Idea)

Hey, everyone and welcome back to styledbymckenz! For the latest addition to my ‘Get Ready With Me’ series I’m sharing with you a hair, makeup, and outfit idea perfect for any upcoming parties or events fit for the holidays. Hope you all enjoy!

Makeup-

After applying my standard Nivea Men’s Shave Balm to ensure that my face makeup stays in place all day, I began buffing in my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation to even out my skin tone and provide the perfect base for the rest of the makeup. I then set that foundation with my go-to product, the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

To brighten up the under eyes I’m applying the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer and then following up setting with the banana powder from the Anastasia Contour Kit.

I’m then applying my favorite Wet N Wild blush to brighten up my cheeks + to add a pop of color to the look. To add a bit of definition to the cheek bones and temples I’m contouring using the lightest shade from the Anastasia Contour Kit. I’m also popping that same shade into my crease on a fluffy eyeshadow brush to define the eyelids just a tad.

To continue the simple eye look, I’m penciling in my brows lightly to reshape them. Then to widen the eyes, I’m curling my lashes and applying a few coats of the Maybelline Cat Eyes Mascara and then the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

Lastly for the face, I’m popping on a bit of my favorite highlighter to the tips of my cheek bones, the Wet N Wild Mega Glow in the shade ‘Precious Petals’. I then went in with a small shader brush and applied a bit to the brow bone, cupid’s bow, and inner corners of my eyes. The main reason for keeping this look so simple was because the only time I ever feel confident enough to rock a bold red lip (aside from a cheer competition) is for a holiday event like this one.

Hair-

For the hair, I decided to pop in a few curls here and there with my ConAir Curling Iron; I use the two-inch barrel on a regular basis! A tousled, hairstyle is perfect for this time of year as it’s easy to achieve and looks effortless.

Outfit-

Because I am already sporting a bright red lip, I opted for hunter green culottes as my statement piece. I stuck with a solid black mock neck tee and some classic black block heels from Target to dress up the look a bit. This pairing ensured that my pants stayed the center of attention! I love the way this outfit came together and think it’s perfect for a semi-formal event.
