What’s In My Carry-On? // Longchamp Le Pliage

I personally love a good ‘what’s in my purse’. It’s always so fun to see what someone else carries! However, today we’re going to be switching things up a bit.

When traveling, I always reach for my navy Longchamp Le Pliage. The size large is the perfect fit for all of my travel essentials, making it the best bag to carry-on the plane. The added bonus of being ale to use it as a cute tote when you reach your destination makes it that much better and even more practical.

Today I’m sharing with you what I like to keep in my carry-on when traveling! Let’s get on with it.

If you are not familiar with the Longchamp Le Pliage it is a nylon tote with 9” leather straps and trim. The size large is the perfect fit for a standard sized Macbook + the bag itself weighs less than a pound, making it much lighter on your shoulder than your typical tote.

here’s what I fit into it 

• Some snacks- Let’s face it, the complimentary peanuts served on the plane are only so good for so long. I like to pack a salty snack and then something a bit sweeter like candy or in this case, fruit snacks. The added chewiness will help clear your ears from the high plane pressures too!
• A water bottle- Literally everyone knows that you cannot carry a water bottle on the plane with you due to the liquid restrictions; however, you can bring an empty water bottle so you can refill it later on in your trip! I loved having mine with me last year.
• A good book- Reading is one of my favorite things to do on a plane or during a long car ride. It’s an easy way to pass time and it’s always good to get away from the screen once in a while. I’m currently reading ‘The Underground Railroad’ for school.
• My planner- My Lily Agenda would never leave my side for that long. Getting organized, brainstorming blog ideas, and keeping my stress to a minimum while on vacation are all reasons why I could never leave home without it.
• A good camera- Although I always have my phone, I love carrying a real camera with me too for high-quality photos and of course vlogging for travel diaries and such.
• Your wallet- This is obviously a no-brainer. Everyone needs their wallet with them when traveling and especially their ID!
• Some sunglasses- Not that you will need sunglass on a plane, but I prefer to keep my sunnies in my carry-on so I know they won’t break in my suitcase! Must be a McKenzie thing.
• Your computer- This will be my first time bringing my computer with me on a trip and I am super excited because that means I will have plenty of time to write blog posts and edit a few videos for the upcoming weeks while I am away!
• Chargers / Headphones- I definitely always keep my headphones with me so I can listen to music and keep the noise from distracting me. I also like to keep my chargers in my bag for a last minute charge before hopping on the plane!
• Something to keep warm- I always bring a cardigan, sweatshirt, or something of this sort with me to keep me warm from the chilly plane/car temperatures. Sometimes I’ll even throw in a pair of socks if I’m wearing flip-flops and intend on my feet getting chilly!
