Top 5 Favorite Summer Shoe Trends Under $40+ 5 Outfit Ideas

I’m sure you all are aware that I am a complete shoe addict; I mean it’s certainly no secret. Especially if you’ve been reading my blog for a while now. Summer brings my favorite shoes. I hate when my feet feel confined and dislike wearing socks, even more, leaving me in open-toe heaven when summer rolls around.

Now that summer is about half over, I figured now would be a safe time to share with you all my summer must haves as far as shoes go. All of them are open toes and of course fit my style perfectly.

Keep reading to see which five pairs I totally think you need in your closet this season + an outfit idea to accompany each pair.

#1: The Classic Mule- There’s no hiding the fact that mules made their comeback and it was a big one at that. I think they are the perfect shoe to throw on before leaving the house and their classic vibe makes them the perfect addition to any outfit.

I prefer to wear mine with a dress so this damask print one was the perfect match. To coordinate even more with the black shoes I threw on a necklace and a bralette to finish it off.

#2: The Velvet Block Heel- Don’t be fooled, velvet is more than the material of last season. With a hue like blush the material can easily be transitioned into the warmer months and with the style of a block heel, your feet are sure to be thanking you later. This is the perfect everyday heel height, as it is super comfortable and not too harsh on the arches of your feet.

To style these bad boys I threw on a simple black romper and a matching necklace to add a pop of color. I opted for gold accents in terms of jewelry.

#3: The Simple Slide- Slides are definitely a huge trend right now and for reasons I completely understand; they are super easy and comfortable for everyday wear. With all the fun colors and materials, they come in, you are sure to find one that is the perfect fit for you!

To style mine, I’m pairing them with a matching tank and bringing out the embroidery colors by adding my navy Longchamp.

#4: The Fun Lace-up- Lace-ups have been huge for a couple of years now and if you’ve ever owned a pair you totally know why. They are so chic and instantly take an outfit from a 3 to a  10. This pair has beads and pom poms on them making them perfect for the summer and for adding a bit of color to your look! So fun and so festival friendly.

To coordinate with the pom poms on my feet I threw on my diy choker and a simple white dress to keep all the attention on my accessories. To add an even brighter pop of color I’m wearing my sisters Oliver Bilou bag.

#5: The Pop of Color- Another day, another pair of mules. This pair from DSW is much more comfortable as they have about a ½’’ heel making them perfect for everyday wear. They are chic and the fun color is the perfect way to brighten up any bland outfit; just what every girl needs in their collection!

I’m wearing an orange tee to coordinate with these shorter mules, today. Both of these pieces were featured in my travel capsule wardrobe which made my love for them even greater! I wore a denim skirt with it to complete the outfit.
