What To Wear: Sorority Recruitment

As most of you know by now, I joined a sorority here on campus! The recruitment process was long but so worth it. Aside from getting to meet so many awesome girls, my favorite part of recruitment week was getting ready! There are four different days of recruitment at Kent: two days of Open House, one day of Sisterhood, and one day of Preference. And of course, Bid Day when you find out which sorority you’re in.

I know every college is different but here at Kent, the only day you’re given a t-shirt to wear is on Bid Day so the rest of the week you’re left to fend for yourself as far as clothes go. The first day starts off on the more casual side, tee and skirt or nicer top and jeans, and then gradually gets fancier each day.

McKenz 

I decided a romper would be the perfect amount of dressiness for sisterhood round. I wore a cute sundress the day before so this was the next step up. I love this blue color and got so many compliments on it as I talked to different chapters. The pleated sleeves of this piece are an unexpected statement. This romper was on the lower side so I pinned it to keep it from being too revealing for the occasion and tied the belt into a bow. I wanted to wear comfortable shoes since I’d be on my feet all day which meant wearing my Palms! I added white earrings to match and a few dainty gold accessories to tie the look together.

Lauren 

Lauren wanted to wear this cute dress that came from SheIn! It’s got a vintage feel to it with the square neckline but the babydoll fit makes it a bit more playful. Yellow is the color of the season so she looked trendy at the same time. Lauren is a sneaker girl so she paired this dress with her white Steve Madden platforms. Gold accessories completed her look.

Emma 

How adorable does my roomie look in this dress?! I knew she would love this when I pulled it out of the box. The cute boho floral is so her style and the fit of this dress is super unique. It’s got a really interesting neckline and buttons all the way down. It’s a super spring print but the sleeves make it feel a little more fall. Emma paired this dress with her favorite white go-go boots to spice things up a bit.

Olivia 

Olivia isn’t wearing anything pictured from the haul but she looked too cute not to share! She went with a little gingham wrap dress and some black platform sandals. I’d say that a majority of the girls throughout sisterhood round were dressed about this level of fancy. Liv looked adorable… I think she should be in front of the camera more often!
